Large Capacity Restroom Trailers
Large events and busy job sites often need more restroom capacity than permanent facilities or a smaller trailer can provide. Finding enough capacity without adding unnecessary equipment can be difficult. Too few stations create long lines and service interruptions, while excess capacity adds purchase and transport costs.
At Lang Specialty Trailers, we manufacture
large-capacity restroom trailers that help operators serve more users with fewer separate units. Our operator-focused construction supports faster setup, easier service, and repeated use at events and jobsites.

What Are Large Capacity Restroom Trailers
A large capacity restroom trailer is a towable restroom unit used when an event or jobsite needs several restroom stations in one location. This article covers models with five or more stations rather than every trailer that a manufacturer may describe as large. Buyers move into this size range when one smaller trailer cannot provide enough stations for the expected crowd or crew.
The five-station-and-larger models covered here combine the following features and options:
- Multiple user stations: The models discussed here contain at least five stations, so several people can use the trailer at the same time.
- Flushing fixtures: Foot-flush toilets, running-water sinks, mirrors, and vanities provide the fixtures found in a permanent restroom.
- Flexible water supply: An onboard waste tank removes the need for a sewer connection, while an optional fresh-water package supports sites without a pressurized water source.
- Interior temperature control: Air conditioning and a heat strip regulate the interior, while optional three-season and winter packages support colder operating conditions.
- Towable configuration: A trailer chassis and stabilizer jacks allow operators to move and level the unit at different sites.
Large Capacity Restroom Trailers from Lang Specialty Trailers
At Lang Specialty Trailers, we build large capacity trailers for operators who rent, tow, clean, and service them. The Pro Series portable restroom trailer can move from formal events to long-term job sites, so operators can use the same unit for different bookings. We also help buyers estimate rental income and operating costs before purchase, which helps them avoid a model that does not fit their budget or customer base.
The following features reduce setup, cleaning, and repair time:
- Operator-led design: Our founders operated restroom trailers before manufacturing them, so the Pro Series reflects the setup, cleaning, and service work they performed.
- Hardware-store parts: Most Pro Series components match items sold by big-box hardware stores, so operators can avoid waiting for proprietary parts during a field repair.
- Fast-cleaning surfaces: Seamless gel-coated fiberglass covers the interior and exterior walls, ceiling, subfloor, and roof, so operators can remove dirt with household cleaner and a rag.
- Fast setup: Self-leveling slide-out stairs and fold-out railings reduce setup time, and the trailer requires only a level for deployment.
- Direct service access: A large mechanical room door provides access to trailer components, and individual fixture valves let an operator isolate one sink or toilet during repair.
Sizing Your Trailer to Guest Count
Station count determines how many people can use the trailer at one time, while our guest recommendations provide a starting point for event sizing. Our general sizing chart applies to events lasting six hours or less. Event type, alcohol service, site layout, and event duration can change the number, size, or placement of trailers.
Our standard Pro Series recommendations are listed below:

The Luxury Series supports up to 300 guests in the 5-station model, 350 in the 7-station model, and 400 in the 9-station model. Longer events increase total restroom use, and alcohol service can raise demand beyond the basic guest-count recommendation.
A large site may work better with two smaller trailers because one central unit can leave some guests too far from a restroom. Too few stations create lines, while excess stations tie up money in a trailer the booking does not need.
Our 8 Station Private and 12 Station Pro Series models each carry a recommended limit of 600 guests. Crowds above that number require more than one of our current models, while some smaller events may also need multiple units because of the site layout.
Private Rooms Versus Open Layouts
Private-room and open layouts control how users enter the trailer and share its fixtures. Our 8 Station Private model contains eight unisex rooms, and each room includes a toilet, urinal, sink, vanity, and mirror. Standard open models use separate men’s and women’s compartments with private toilet stalls and shared sink areas.
Any user can enter the next available room in the private model, so all eight rooms remain available to the full crowd. Open models divide stations between men’s and women’s compartments, and male-dominant versions of the
5 Station and 9
Station Pro Series shift more stations to the men’s side. Buyers should choose the floor plan based on the expected crowd and whether each user needs a complete private room.
Fresh Water and Waste Tank Sizes
Waste-tank capacity affects pump-out intervals, while onboard fresh-water capacity affects refill intervals at sites without a pressurized water connection. We equip our 5-station models with 520-gallon waste tanks, our 9-station models with 750-gallon tanks, and our 10 Station Pro Series with an 800-gallon tank.
We equip our 5 Station Pro and Luxury models with 520-gallon waste tanks. The
7 Station Luxury model and the
9 Station Pro and
Luxury models use 750-gallon tanks, while the 10 Station Pro Series uses an 800-gallon tank. Our 8 Station Private and 12 Station Pro Series models each use a 1,000-gallon waste tank.
Each model connects to a pressurized water source through a 3/4-inch garden-hose inlet. We offer an optional 200-gallon fresh-water package on the 5-, 7-, 9-, 10-, and 12-station models, while the 8 Station Private model can carry two 200-gallon tanks. Operators must plan fresh-water refills at sites without a pressurized water connection and schedule pump-outs according to total use and event duration.
Large Capacity Restroom Trailer Applications
Our customers buy large capacity models for special events, jobsites, public sites, and disaster relief. Some locations serve a large crowd for a few hours, while others serve a crew every workday. We manufacture these models for the following applications:
Weddings and corporate events: Our trailers add several stations at outdoor venues and other sites that lack enough permanent restrooms for the expected attendance.
Festivals, concerts, and races: Several stations let multiple attendees use the trailer at once when many people reach the restroom area within a short period.
Construction and long-term jobsites: We provide towable restroom capacity for crews working where permanent facilities are unavailable or too far from the work area.
Municipal events and public sites: Parks, beaches, and other public sites can add movable or semi-permanent restrooms without constructing a permanent building.
Emergency and disaster relief sites: Our towable units provide temporary restroom access in relief areas where permanent facilities are unavailable.
